Carol Barnes - President

Carol Barnes is our new President. Originally from Middle TN, Carol moved to Fairfield Glade on Labor Day weekend 2019 and joined in October of that year. She attended the New Member Tea and learned of opportunities to serve. She began as Publicity Writer, then Service Chair and finally transitioning from President-Elect to President. Carol says that Ladies Club has been an important part of her life since her husband’s death In 2021.

 Carole O'Brien - 1st Vice President (Programs)

First Vice President in charge of Programs is Carole O’Brien who arrived “homeless” in Fairfield Glade in June 2021. She and husband of 33 years, Bob Skeele, quickly found and closed on their home. Carole previously worked in the telecom industry in Engineering Sales & Marketing. She has an extensive background of volunteer service including President of Newcomers and Neighbors of Morristown, NJ along with many more!

Carol Bechtel -   Corresponding Secretary

Carol Bechtel was born in Chicago and grew up In Illinois. Her family moved to Albuquerque, NM when she was a senior in high school. She met her husband of 56 years there.

His job took them to Massachusetts for 4 years and then to California. Carol worked in the Human Resources Department at Stanford University for 27 years. She retired in March 2006 and by June they were on their way to TN!

Carol is now a widow but is still enjoying life here. Her son and daughter-in-law moved here a few years ago. Carol has 3 beautiful granddaughters- one in TN and 2 in Wisconsin.

Carol has been a Ladies Club member for 5 years.

Cheryl Aller- Recording Secretary     

Recording Secretary, Cheryl Aller, and her husband, Doug, have lived in Fairfield Glade for 9 years. She became involved with the Ladies Club in 2021 when she filled the role of Recording Secretary for someone who had stepped down. When asked if she would like to continue for 2 more years, the answer was a resounding YES! Cheryl thinks that the board members are great to work with and really enjoys it. Her hobbies include walking her dog, Cooper, playing golf, hiking, gardening and reading.

Sheila Thomas - 2nd Vice President (Membership)  
Sandy McAvoy - Treasurer

Sheila was born and raised in Chicago, moved to Colorado in the mid-seventies.   Sheila worked 14 years for Michelin Tire Corporation, followed by 21 years with Denver Broncos as Director of Human Resources. After spending the first 7 years of retirement in Naples, FL Sheila and her husband Charles moved to Fairfield in 2020.  They will celebrate 45 years of marriage this year.

Sandy and Tom moved here in 2020 from Oak Creek, WI where she worked 35 years as Director of Accounting for a healthcare system.

Sandy and Tom have been married for 35 years and have a Boxer named Rumpus.  Sandy volunteers at Peavine Care Center and FG Resident Services.  Sandy also helped set up a Breast Cancer Support Group in FFG.

Terri Brown - President Elect 

Terri moved here in 2020 and retired from Harley-Davidson Financial Services.  Married to Mick since 2015, she enjoys water aerobics, relaxing outdoors and visiting new places with her husband.  Terri has 2 children and 2 grandchildren in Texas.

Carolyn Champagne - Assistant Treasurer

Carolyn moved here in 2017 after retiring from a Louisiana school district where she worked as Purchasing Agent.

Carollyn has 3 children and 3 grandsons.  She loves to spend time traveling and visiting her family.
